Family Support

Families who live with cystic fibrosis find it difficult to reach out for help. The condition is not as well known as other life threatening diseases and the fear of stigmatization keeps many from publicizing their struggle.

The Child Life Society is the one safe place parents can turn to for help. We make every effort to take some worry off the shoulders of overwrought parents of CF children. Examples of the family support the Child Life Society provides includes:

• Counseling to ease emotional pain of parents and siblings
• Medical referrals to expert specialists and treatment centers
